Hot n' Cool and Bittersweet
The Living Room, Seattle, WA
February 10 - March 5, 2011
Hot n' Cool and Bittersweet is about my attempts to invoke the creative feminine principle. It's about transformation and embracing the contradictory truths of the opposites.
With reverence for the ancient art of alchemy, I conjure up new culinary concoctions in my kitchen. Using popsicle form as a vessel I attempt to turn bitterness and grudge into sweetness, and to transform hotness into coolness.
